ABOUT ME

I’m Robert Wells, a Drama Education Specialist with over a decade of experience helping teachers and students achieve outstanding results in Drama.

For the past two years, I’ve been a Keynote Education trainer, delivering high-impact professional development that simplifies the complexities of the Drama curriculum and helps teachers build real exam confidence. Now, I’m excited to be launching my own online training courses, bringing my wealth of experience to a wider audience of Drama teachers who want practical, proven strategies that work.

Over the past ten years, I’ve led Drama departments across four schools, serving as Head of Drama for eight years. I understand the day-to-day challenges teachers face — from navigating changing specifications and rising grade boundaries to helping students perform their best under pressure. My goal has always been to make Drama teaching more straightforward, more enjoyable, and more successful.

With a proven track record of outstanding results, I bring deep insight from my work as an examiner and team leader for the GCSE specification, as well as from my previous roles as Assistant Principal for the WJEC A-Level exam and examiner and moderator for Edexcel. This experience provides me with a clear understanding of what examiners are truly looking for — and how to translate that into classroom success.

My upcoming courses — GCSE Drama for New Teachers and Achieving Grades 7–9 — are designed to give teachers the clarity, confidence, and resources they need to deliver exceptional outcomes for their students.
