Booking Terms & Conditions
These Booking Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all course bookings made with Drama Teaching Mastery (“we”, “us” or “our”).
Drama Teaching Mastery courses are provided as professional development for schools, organisations and education professionals. By completing a booking, you confirm that the course is being purchased wholly or mainly for purposes connected with your trade, business or profession.
By making a booking or payment, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the participant attending the course.
1. Payment and booking confirmation
1.1 Full payment is required to secure a place unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed with us in writing.
1.2 A place is not confirmed until payment has been received or we have provided written confirmation of an agreed invoice arrangement.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse access to a course if the full course fee has not been received by the agreed payment date.
1.4 All fees are stated in pounds sterling (GBP).
2. Cancellations and refunds
2.1 Because course places are limited and preparation begins in advance, course fees are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed, except where stated in these Terms or required by law.
2.2 Refunds will not be provided if a participant does not attend, attends only part of the course or chooses not to complete it.
2.3 If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another suitable colleague at no additional cost. You must notify us in writing before the course begins.
3. Transfers and extenuating circumstances
3.1 Requests to transfer a booking to another available course date will be considered in cases of genuine extenuating circumstances, such as serious illness or bereavement.
3.2 Transfer requests must be made in writing at the earliest reasonable opportunity and should include sufficient information for us to consider the request.
3.3 Transfers are considered individually, are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
3.4 If a transfer is agreed, it will apply to one future course date only. A transferred booking cannot normally be transferred again or exchanged for a refund.
4. Cancellations or changes by Drama Teaching Mastery
4.1 In the unlikely event that we cancel or postpone a course, you will be offered the choice of:
-
transferring your booking to an alternative course date, subject to availability; or
-
receiving a full refund of the course fee paid.
4.2 We will provide as much notice as reasonably possible of any cancellation, postponement or significant change.
4.3 We are not responsible for additional expenses or losses incurred because of a cancellation or rescheduling, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
4.4 We will not be responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where possible, we will arrange an alternative course date or provide a refund.
5. Course content and delivery
5.1 We may make reasonable changes to course content, materials, timings, structure, trainer or delivery where necessary, provided that these changes do not materially reduce the overall purpose or value of the course.
5.2 Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have a suitable device, internet connection and the necessary software to access an online course.
5.3 We will take reasonable steps to resolve technical problems within our control. We are not responsible for problems caused by a participant’s equipment, internet connection or local network.
6. Course materials and intellectual property
6.1 Course materials and access links are provided for the use of the booked participant only.
6.2 Participants may use relevant resources within their own teaching practice and with their own students where the material is designed for that purpose.
6.3 Course materials must not otherwise be shared with colleagues, copied for wider distribution, uploaded to shared or public platforms, sold, republished or adapted for commercial use without our written permission.
6.4 All intellectual property rights in the course content and materials remain the property of Drama Teaching Mastery or the relevant copyright owner.
6.5 Courses must not be recorded, reproduced or broadcast without our prior written permission.
7. Liability
7.1 Our courses are provided for professional-development purposes. Although we aim to provide accurate, practical and current guidance, we cannot guarantee particular examination results, professional outcomes or earnings.
7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in a course.
7.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Data protection
8.1 Personal information provided during booking will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8.2 We may contact you with information necessary to administer and deliver your booking. Marketing communications will only be sent where we have an appropriate lawful basis to do so.
9. Governing law
9.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
9.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Agreement
By completing a booking or making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Booking Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
